Council Investiture 23 may '07
5 days ago...it was my council investiture. before the whole event, i rushed to the drums on a platform by the stage to practice my performance. My uncle, who is the school's AVA guy, and my dad was there to help me out. then i got ready and it was akward walking past the band with the council attire while they were wearing the band uniform. so then the event began and the councillors marched out while the band played POC (Pirates Of the Carribean). That was another akward moment. then Mr Lee gave the opening address. quite a good speech. then the GOH gave his speech. me and joel fell asleep. Then one by one we went on stage to accept our badge and certificate. When it was my turn the band cheered so loudly! THX TKBAND! so then i went backstage getting ready for my performance. I screwed up a little. But the funniest reaction from the crowd was when i played the music. the crowd at the back rised up to see what was going on. it was so cute. when the solo was over i was soo relieved. walking thru the school was so cool after that. alot of people approached me. Edmun Chen (mediacorp. artiste) and David Lee (former singpore goalkeeper) were there at the event. they were actually friends. I am friends with their sons. David Lee congratulated me for my performance. before i went home a father of a student approached my dad and congratulated him. like WOW! I could see it in my dad's eyes. He was proud of me. I'll tell you about my Cameron Highlands trip tomorrow...im going out now. BYE!!
